Our agency started in May 1988 on W Union St in Athens. We moved to our current location, 473 Richland Ave in July 2000. We have been a family owned and operated business right from the very beginning. At Rider Insurance we feel it’s important that our clients have choices. That’s why we are proud to be an independent agency to help our clients make insurance decisions based on their needs and budget. As an independent agent we have the flexibility to shop your insurance coverage needs with the finest national companies and the smallest regional carriers to better fit your budget and coverage needs. We do things differently in our office. We represent you not the insurance company. We are your advocate at the time of purchase, if you need service and during the unfortunate event should you ever need to file a claim.

Insurance is a promise written in a contract. Our office takes this much more seriously, to us it’s a commitment. We live and work in this community together, we’re not some 800 number or far away web site. We shop locally and spend our hard earned money just like you, right here at home. We get involved, we take action to try our best to make this community someplace we can all be proud of. We support great organizations like Athens Sandlot, Local Schools, Scouts and many other youth activities.
